Music Video Studio Los Angeles
Bring the treatment, performance concept or reference reel. MVA Studios can help plan a Los Angeles music-video shoot around the stage, camera, lighting, grip, movement, crew and post-production support your concept needs.

Turn the treatment into a shoot plan
A strong music-video plan connects the visual idea to a realistic set of scenes, looks and shooting requirements. Share the track, treatment, references and any key performance or narrative moments with the team. Identify the shots the video depends on, not just the equipment you want to rent.
Include the number of artists, performers, dancers or other talent; the planned wardrobe and makeup changes; and any set builds, props or movement needs. These details help MVA discuss the stage, support spaces and production scope before the shoot is booked.
Use the cyc as a visual starting point
The main and upstairs cyc spaces offer different shooting environments within the MVA facility. A cyc can support performance, fashion-led imagery, a controlled lighting concept or a clean background, depending on the lighting and production plan.
Discuss stage dimensions, floor condition, preparation and restrictions with MVA for the specific space. Do not assume a set build or installation is approved until the team has reviewed it. The White Cyc guide explains what to include when planning a cyc-based shoot.
Plan camera, lighting and movement together
A moving performance setup affects lenses, monitoring, lighting positions, support and crew. Send the shot list and camera-movement references early so your team can review a package that supports the actual sequence.
MVA’s rental house connects camera, lighting, grip and production audio with the studio. The facility also includes motorized overhead infrastructure and an Infinity Mat system; confirm the suitable setup and crew for your chosen stage and treatment.
Keep talent and production moving
Music-video days often involve multiple looks and repeated performance takes. Include hair, makeup, dressing, holding, playback and production-support needs in your brief. Review how talent moves between preparation and the stage, as well as the time needed to change each setup.
MVA’s facility includes makeup and vanity space, recording/audio capability and production support rooms. Ask about the spaces and services required for your particular shoot rather than assuming every room is included in a stage booking.
Carry the plan through post
Editing, audio and final versions should be discussed before production when they affect the shoot. Include the main video, shorter cutdowns, social formats, any performance-sync requirements and your intended delivery schedule.
You can book stage access with your own team or ask MVA about a fuller production package. For the clearest quote, send your dates, treatment, talent and crew count, equipment needs, budget range if established, and the services you want MVA to handle.
From treatment to booked shoot
- Send the treatment: include the track, references, must-have performance moments and any narrative or set-build requirements.
- Choose the stage: compare MVA Studios and the White Cyc against the visual plan.
- Build camera and lighting: review camera rentals, lighting and grip, movement, playback and monitoring around the shot list.
- Define crew and support: identify the director, DP, camera, lighting, makeup, production and post roles already covered and the roles MVA needs to support.
- Request the production: send the planned dates, talent count, gear, stage and budget range through the Production / Shoot Request.
