Lighting Rentals Los Angeles
A lighting package should support a look, a space and a workable shooting schedule. MVA Studios brings lighting and electric rentals together with grip, cyc stages, camera equipment and production support in Los Angeles.

Real rental inventory to explore
Browse the Electric / Lighting department and Grip department in the live catalog, or search all MVA gear.
Selected live catalog entries. Confirm dates and inclusions with MVA.
Choose fixtures around the look
Share references, your location or stage, the size of the scene and whether you need a clean cyc, shaped beauty light, practical accents or a changing music-video setup. Include your camera movement and shot sequence so the package can be planned around how the production will work.
The live MVA inventory includes Aputure, ARRI and Astera fixtures. The cards on this page are actual rental entries. Specific kits, accessories, rates and availability come from the catalog and your confirmed rental dates; they are not guaranteed by this guide.
Lighting needs grip and electric
A fixture list is a starting point. Modifiers, stands, frames, mounting, cable runs, power and control should be considered alongside it. Tell the team which support equipment you already have and which items need to be supplied.
For an existing lighting plan, send the complete list rather than only fixture names. For a developing brief, describe the look, location and crew. MVA can discuss an equipment package and identify the details that still need confirmation with your lighting team.
Coordinate rigging with the stage
MVA’s facility includes 21 motorized hoist points and a 20×20 Infinity Mat system. Discuss the particular stage and rigging plan with the team before booking; these are facility capabilities and do not mean every space includes the same setup.
Share overhead needs, set builds, movement and any special installation requirements early. The appropriate rigging approach, personnel and scope should be confirmed around the actual production, rather than assumed from an equipment list.
Add the stage and production team
A studio lighting package can be coordinated with MVA’s cyc spaces, camera rentals and production support rooms. This makes it possible to discuss the image, equipment and facility in one planning conversation.
Bring your own gaffer and crew, or include the roles you need in a Production / Shoot Request. MVA can discuss a stage, gear and crew package, with audio and post-production support where required by the project.
Prepare a useful lighting rental request
Send the shoot dates, location or chosen stage, references, fixture and modifier list, grip and electric requirements, crew contact and any prep or installation needs. Add pickup and return details for an equipment-only rental.
If the package is still being designed, include the brief and explain what is unresolved. For a recurring content schedule, identify the setups you expect to repeat so the team can discuss an equipment and production workflow suited to those shoots.

Planning questions
Can I rent lighting for an outside location?
MVA has a gear-rental path as well as studio packages. Confirm the equipment, dates, logistics and rental terms with the team for your location shoot.
Does a lighting kit include every modifier and stand?
Review the specific live listing and confirm inclusions with MVA. Do not assume stands, modifiers, rigging or power accessories are part of every fixture listing.
Can I combine lighting with a white cyc stage?
Yes. Discuss the chosen stage, lighting look, rigging and crew needs with MVA, then confirm the available package and dates.
