Camera Rentals Los Angeles
Renting a camera is only one part of preparing a camera department. MVA Studios combines a Los Angeles rental house with stages, lighting, grip, audio, crew and post-production support, so the camera package can be planned around the whole shoot.

Live Camera inventory
This page now carries the actual MVA Camera collection instead of only three highlighted products. Start with the featured cinema packages below, then use the live collection to browse the broader camera department by your real rental dates.
Shelf-location codes remain in product names for the physical prep workflow. Confirm camera body, media, power, accessories and exact package inclusions for your selected dates.
Start with the production, then choose the camera
A commercial, music video, interview and recurring social campaign can place different demands on the same camera package. Before selecting a body, outline your intended framing, camera movement, recording duration, crew and delivery formats. Share references and a gear list if you already have a cinematographer attached.
MVA’s live inventory includes ARRI, RED and Sony camera options. The product cards on this page are real catalog entries, not a promise of availability. Search the rental catalog and choose dates for current information, then confirm the full package with the team.
Build a complete camera package
Think beyond the body: lenses and mount compatibility, batteries and charging, recording media, monitoring, support, video transmission and any timecode or audio needs should be reviewed together. An accessory that suits one camera configuration may not suit another.
Send the camera build you intend to use, including cages, handles, support and movement systems. Ask the team to confirm the combination, prep arrangements and any additional items needed. This avoids treating a camera rental as an isolated box rather than a working shooting system.
Lenses, movement and monitoring
Lens selection should follow the look and practical constraints of the shoot. Include the focal lengths, mount and any matching-camera requirements in your request. If you are still deciding, describe the shot rather than guessing an equipment specification.
For handheld, tripod or stabilized work, tell MVA how the camera will move and who will operate it. Monitoring and client viewing also belong in the brief: explain who needs to see the image and where they will be during the shoot.
Studio + camera + crew
If you are shooting at MVA, coordinate the camera package with the stage and lighting plan. The facility includes cyc spaces and production support rooms, with lighting, grip, recording and post-production capability connected to the same workflow.
Bring your own crew, or ask about production support. For a complete shoot, use the Production / Shoot Request form to identify the crew roles and services you need. MVA can discuss a package around your brief; camera availability and service scope are confirmed separately.
What to send for a camera rental quote
Include your preferred and alternate dates, pickup and return needs, camera and lens preferences, number of shooting cameras, accessory list and production contact. Add the stage location, movement requirements and final delivery needs when known.
For a gear-only inquiry, use General Contact and select Gear Rental. For stage, gear and crew together, send the full shoot request. If the brief is still developing, tell the team what has been decided and where you need guidance.

Planning questions
Can I rent a camera without booking a studio?
MVA has a dedicated gear-rental path as well as studio and production services. Ask the team to confirm the package, dates, pickup arrangements and applicable rental terms.
Are lenses, media and batteries included?
Inclusions depend on the specific catalog item and confirmed package. Review the live listing and have the team confirm the complete kit rather than assuming every accessory is included.
Can MVA help with lighting and camera crew?
Include lighting, grip and crew needs in the shoot request. The team can discuss a coordinated production package around your project.
