Fast answers

The practical questions producers compare first.

Stage-only is available

Bring your own crew and equipment, or add MVA gear and production support as needed.

No mandatory parking fee

MVA does not charge a mandatory parking fee. Confirm the space allocation for your specific booking.

Multiple shooting environments

Main White Cyc, Front Room + Front Cyc, Upstairs Cyc and additional production/support spaces.

One production ecosystem

Camera, lenses, lighting, grip, monitoring, movement, recording and post can be coordinated around the same project.

Booking + access

Before the production day.

Can I rent only the studio and bring my own crew and equipment?

Yes. MVA supports studio-only bookings as well as studio-plus-gear and larger production workflows. If you already have crew, camera and lighting handled, start with the studio booking path and confirm the room, date and access requirements.

How do I check availability?

Use the MVA studio booking path to request or check dates. For larger commercial, fashion, music-video or branded productions, send the production brief so stage, equipment and crew needs can be scoped together.

Can I scout the facility before booking?

Yes. Producers should scout when room dimensions, clear height, sound conditions, rigging, art department, load-in, parking or client-flow requirements are critical to the shoot.

Does MVA charge for parking?

MVA does not charge a mandatory parking fee. The number and location of spaces available for crew, talent, clients and production vehicles should still be confirmed for the specific booking and production footprint.

What should I confirm for load-in?

Confirm the selected room, load-in route, vehicle access, timing, door clearance and any large grip, art or specialty-equipment requirements. Published property materials reference a 10 × 12 ft loading-door dimension; confirm the current route and clearance for your actual booking.

Stage + technical planning

Build the room around the shot.

How many shooting environments are at MVA?

Published MVA property materials describe a three-stage history, with the current site highlighting the Main White Cyc, Front Room + Front Cyc and Upstairs Cyc as key shooting environments. The broader facility also includes support areas for talent, clients, production and audio work.

What ceiling height should I plan around?

Published property materials reference a 12–28 ft ceiling-height range across the facility. Exact clear height varies by room, so confirm the selected stage before planning large overheads, movement, truss or tall set pieces.

What overhead infrastructure is available on the main stage?

The current MVA production system includes 21 motorized hoist points around the main production stage for approved lighting and rigging plans, plus Aputure INFINIMAT capability including a 20 × 20 configuration.

Can MVA provide camera, lighting and grip?

Yes. MVA’s rental ecosystem includes ARRI, RED and Sony camera paths, lenses, Aputure/ARRI/Astera lighting, grip and rigging, monitoring/wireless video and camera movement/support systems, subject to availability.

What about electrical power and specialty rigging?

Power draw, distribution, rigging loads, motors, truss and specialty installations should be confirmed against the exact production plan. Send the lighting plot or technical requirements early when the shoot depends on a larger overhead or electrical package.

Talent + client support

The parts of a production day that happen off camera.

Does MVA have hair, makeup and talent-prep space?

Yes. The facility includes dedicated vanity / makeup support and additional rooms used for talent prep, holding and production-day flow.

Are there green-room and kitchen areas?

Yes. MVA’s facility galleries include Green Room + Kitchen areas used for cast, crew, client holding, breaks and production-day staging.

Can the shoot include recording or post?

Yes. MVA also operates recording and post-audio workflows, which is useful when a project needs production, voice, music or finishing support under the same broader facility ecosystem.

Important: Exact booking inclusions, available rooms, access times, power, rigging, sound conditions, parking allocation and equipment inventory can change by production and date. Confirm the final scope with MVA before locking crew or technical assumptions.
